Latin Holiday

Latin Holiday is a nice piece for solo trumpet and band. The 1st section is written in a 4/4 Latin Style with the percussion section supplying an infectious rhythm. The trumpet part has optional high scoring. The piece begins with a maestoso intro in a ‘pomposo’ manner giving the feeling of “Bring on the Bulls” at a bull fight. There are several themes throughout the piece with an expressive slower section and great harmonies. The 3rd section is in 6/8 and is played “Con Brio” ending in a dramatic climax. Each movement can be played separately if needed.
